Before & After - 2000 Skyline Layton

Henry Ford once said that vision without execution is just hallucination, and as my husband and I have been dreaming about a cool make-over project, we decided to turn our vision into a reality and purchase an older RV to renovate.  We are both huge Pinterest, DIY, and HGTV fans, so this was right up our alley.  The project, from start to finish, took approximately 3 weeks and gave us the opportunity to practice both old and newly-learned skills alike.  We will continue to add step-by-step "how to" instructions to this post, but for now, we would like to share the before and after photos of all of our hard work.  Here is proof that with a fairly small budget and tons of determination, anyone can improve the outdated interior of an older RV.

Burn marks on the linoleum and some pretty weird and shiny wallpaper.

Carpet is stained and faded.

Boring, dirty backsplash and outdated brass hardware throughout.

Drab valences.

The RV is a 2000 model, but this fabric says 1986!

Clean.  But no.

Dull blue and dreary gray.

Tiny space for a tiny TV.

Unappealing curtains and bedding.

Remove the sofa from unit to reupholster.

Bye ugly carpet; hello aged oak laminate :-)

Mid-reno.  Scary.

Leather for the entry-way.

No before pic of the raggedy, torn carpet on the steps, but here is the updated safety-lined grip tape.

"Tile" backsplash.

Hard at work; even our cat Wendy helped reupholster the dinette cushions!

Bedroom - Before and After.  I made the curtains myself!  First time using a sewing machine :-)

Dinette - Before and After

New flooring.  My husband did an AMAZING job!

Updated kitchen.  I made the valences from the sofa fabric leftovers.

Reupholstered sofa, ala Bobby Joe:-)

Bobby also widened the TV space and customized the TV compartment.
Re-upholstered window treatment and some added decor.  Fresh paint throughout.

Thanks to Goodwill, Big Lots, and my newly honed sewing skills, this bedroom make-over was under $20!  We have an old door that we will eventually transform into a headboard, but this will do for now.
Finally, all done!!
